Assistant Professor Vilavun Puangsricharern finished her residency training from Chulalongkorn University & Hospital in 1991 followed by a fellowship training in Cornea & External disease at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, Florida during 1994-1995 with Professor Scheffer Tseng, one of the highest recognizable ocular surface specialist and a pioneer in using amniotic membrane for ocular surface diseases. From 1991 to she has been an attending staff at the Department of Ophthalmology, Chulalongkorn University which is one of the major training institute for medical students, residents and cornea fellows. She has been engaged with many invited lectureships in the area of dry eyes, limbal stem cell transplantation, corneal physiology, etc. for the Royal College of Ophthalmologist of Thailand training programs, as well as other training Universities and some other international institutes and organizations. She also served as a reviewer for Asian Journal of Ophthalmology Journal also Asia-Pacific External Disease Advisory Board for companies like Alcon and Allergan.
